                                    MORAH ROBIN’S KITA BET NEWSLETTER

                                                WEEK OF AUG. 20-24

Shalom Dear Second Grade Parents!

What a wonderful and extremely busy first week we had in Kita Bet! We learned some basic classroom rules and procedures and practiced them. We also started learning our very first pasuk in Chumash and even had hw. in Kebaba!  Our second graders also reviewed/learned some of the Gematria ( numerical value of the Hebrew letters). We will continue working on that next week. We played  a couple of games to help us remember the value of the different letters. We also started working in our Lehavin U’Lehaskil workbook which told us that before Hashem created the world there was nothing!

Starting next week Tuesday ( I will not be in on Mon aft.), the children will have their hw schedule for next week stapled into their planners. Please make sure you have a look and if you could sign it so I know you saw it, that would be very helpful.

We are always on the lookout in our classroom for wonderful middot ( virtues) and are citing them on our Wonderful Middot wall.

It was so nice to meet the parents at Open House this week. If you could not make it and would like the handout, please let me know and I can send it home in your child’s take home folder. These take home folders will be going home with work (when there is hw ) during the week, but it is on FRIDAYS that it will also have any papers that need to be left at home. Please empty that pocket over the weekend and please remember to return the folder on Mondays.

In today’s folder you will find work that was done and today’s Parsha sheet. Please encourage your child to share what he/she learned at your Shabbat tables and then sign and return on Monday ( in folder). If it is also decorated beautifully, it will hang in our Yofi Shel Parasha corner (beautiful parsha corner) and earn your child a sticker on our incentive chart.

All the teachers and  students in Grade Two  want to wish MOLLY BINSKY a speedy recovery / mending of her broken arms. Already we miss you very much Molly and can’t wait till you can come back to our classroom! Refuah Shleima!

Please let me know always of any concerns or questions. I can be reached the most easily via email: relbaz@torahacademy.org or rutzi5@gmail.com .

Thank you for your cooperation!

Shabbat Shalom!

Morah Robin and Morah Malca
